A Recipe for Walnut and Banana Bread

Ingredients
200g (8oz) Organic Self-raising flour
125g (5oz) Demerera Sugar
1 X 2.5 spoon (1/2 tsp) salt
75g (3oz) butter or margarine
2 eggs (size 4) beaten
1 X 15ml spoon (1 tbsp) golden syrup
100g (4oz) walnuts chopped
450g (1lb) bananas
1 X 15ml (1tbsp) milk
Method
Mix together flour, sugar and salt. Rub in butter.
Mix in eggs and syrup. Stir in nuts.
Mash bananas with milk. Add to mixture and stir thoroughly.
Place mixture in well greased and base lined 1kg (2lb) loaf tin.
Bake for 1 1/4 hours at 180C, 350F Gas Mark 4.
Cool on wire rack. Wrap and keep 24 hours before slicing.
