Welcome to the Haringey Home Educators' Website

Home education is a great adventure and each family follows a different path. But it’s nice to share some pit stops along the way, exchange ideas, have some fun and support each other. Our aim is for the club to serve as an inspiration and a place where together we can build a Home Ed community which will support all our individual efforts.

The new venue in Muswell Hill with a garden and a kitchen as well as a room for craft activities is giving plenty of opportunities for activities indoors and out. We’ve enjoyed making bread, lego animation, pom-pom making, cooperative games in the garden, mosaic and clay work and much more… The activities for the next session will be emailed out to everyone on the contact list on the week before the next session.

Sessions take place on every other Wednesday 12–4pm giving plenty of time for structured activities and free play. Forthcoming sessions are 3, 17 September and 1 October. There are also activities locally on other weeks/days so please visit our events section regularly to check these out. Many of us enjoy Ice-skating on Mondays, a play in the Woods on Tuesdays and various other get togethers (see events section for further information).

All home educating families are welcome and we hope that you will find something at the club for you. We are planning many activities including art and craft sessions, story telling, seed planting, cooking and much more. We hope you will come along and enjoy these and contribute your own skills to the mix.

While you’re here, please have a look at our shop. If you’re planning to buy something from Amazon now or in the future, please support the club by using our site as a gateway to amazon.co.uk. Then HHEC will automatically receive a small commission on your purchase!
